One of the UK’s fastest growing ecommerce retailers in the sports space, is looking for a talented Ecommerce assistant who will focus on site content, customer journeys, day to day trading performance, conversion rate and delivering superior customer experience across their  UK/ROW and US sites.
You will also be helping shape and implement their SEO strategy. You’ll work alongside and report to the Ecommerce Manager to drive the business forward.

Responsibilities will include


  • You will help deliver KPIs including conversion rate, SEO rankings, average order value and customer lifetime value
  • Owner of key CvR metrics such as Add to Cart rate and PLP and PDP bounce rates
  • Daily site walks

Site content

  • Responsible for overall site merchandising, analysing customer behaviour and bounce rates using heat map tools and GA data to track performance and optimise landing pages
  • Briefing asset creation to graphics team
  • Working with buying team on product uploads, and own process of product launches – coordinate the creation of copy and images for new product launches
  • Manage and update a range of content types (product descriptions, seo copy for top and bottom of collection pages, key landing pages, brand collection pages, etc.)

Customer experience

  • Analysis of returns alongside Buying and Merchandising to improve onsite experience and returns rate, optimising

Tech Stack & Development 

  • Support ecommerce manager in monthly development sprints, running post development testing
  • Develop deep understanding of current and future apps to enhance site performance

New projects – LTV 

  • Assist in development of loyalty programme
  • Manage referral programme


  • Management of SEO dashboard – weekly and monthly reporting – analysing keyword performance, site speed, site crawls, top organic pages on site etc.
  • Brief actions to internal teams for site changes, development briefs, content briefs
  • Quarterly content strategy to support rankings – keyword research on topic areas, and keyword and SEO briefs to content writers

What you’ll need

Highly recommended

  • Experience managing Shopify or other CMS
  • Knowledge of HTML and basic online content editing, and a technical mindset
  • Strong understand of and interest in ecommerce tools including Google Analytics
  • Experience of Adobe Photoshop
  • Comfortable using and acting on data to optimise site performance
  • An eye for design and the ability to brief assets and judge what works on a webpage
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in an Ecommerce Executive or Trading role and willing to push your personal professional development to the next level, owning a department and taking
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building capabilities, ability to develop strong trust-based relationships
  • Creative, high energy, proactive, can do and a passion to win
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure – to cope with a hectic workload and ensure a fluid running of key duties.
  • Strong academic background, with a minimum of a 2:1 from a leading university, and 120 UCAS points
  • A strong mix of analytical, commercial focus and communication skills with an attention to detail will be pivotal to the role.

Salary and perks

  • Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 depending on experience
