Three Critical Hires in 90 Days
Market My Market came to us via referral with an initial brief to find a VP of Operations to help them build out a brand ops function. They were growing rapidly and needed someone capable of building the operational infrastructure to support where the agency was heading.
That initial project developed into a wider relationship, with Market My Market subsequently trusting us to find two more strategically important hires: a Director of SEO and a Client Experience Manager.
Three very different senior hires. All three completed within 90 days.

The Client
- Agencies
Market My Market is a high-growth US digital marketing agency specialising predominantly in Search marketing for legal, medical, veterinary, home services and other highly competitive service-based sectors.
With more than 200 clients and having doubled in size over a short period of time, the opportunity was huge. But, by their own admission, that pace of growth also created challenges.
We were initially introduced to CMO Guido Tebano through Valeria Nunez, a previous client of ours. That led to an introduction to Chief of Staff Erin Gough, who we worked closely with across all three searches.
What started with one particularly difficult senior hire quickly developed into a much broader recruitment partnership.
The Challenge
The first mission was to source an elite VP of Operations.
Market My Market didn’t need somebody who wanted to take on an existing Ops function. This person had to be a builder: someone who could introduce fresh processes, systems and accountability, gradually bringing resources, efficiency and profitability into better alignment across the entire business.
That meant finding somebody prepared to make difficult decisions, who understood the realities of running an agency across sectors like legal, medical, veterinary and home services, and who had the credibility and emotional intelligence to bring an established team with them.
Next came the Director of SEO. They needed a genuinely well-rounded SEO leader with particular strength across technical and onsite SEO, strong agency experience and, crucially, experience within highly competitive legal and medical Search. They also needed to be a strong communicator and senior stakeholder manager, all within a defined salary range.
Finally, the Client Experience Manager. This person would manage multiple accounts across Market My Market’s core verticals and needed a proven record of retention and account growth. Tenacious, commercial and driven, but with the client skills to build genuinely strong relationships.
Three roles. Three quite different candidate profiles.
How We Got to Work
Each search needed a slightly different approach from the next.
For the VP Operations role, we laser-targeted US agencies operating within Market My Market’s core verticals. We identified and qualified eight strong people, eventually presenting three. Two emerged as serious contenders, before one ultimately stood out.
For Director of SEO, we mapped senior SEO specialists across the US with genuine legal and medical experience, looking both agency-side and in-house. From an initial pool of 20, five stood out enough for us to present. Four progressed to the latter stages of the process.
Client Experience required a wider mapping exercise. We identified successful US agencies with a strong track record across legal, medical, veterinary and related sectors, then found the strongest client leaders within them.
That produced 25 potential candidates, ten who we felt were worth properly qualifying, and five who ultimately made the shortlist.
The Result
The first hire was Morgan Duhamel, VP of Operations, just 18 days after taking the brief.
Morgan was a cut above the rest of the candidates. She didn’t simply outline her previous experience; she actually entered the process with clear ideas about what she would change at Market My Market, why she’d change it and how she’d go about it. More importantly, she could clearly explain that rationale to the leadership team.
For the Director of SEO role, Olga Kunger emerged as the leading candidate. She brought breadth across SEO with particular strength technically and onsite, excellent agency experience and strong exposure to legal and medical clients. Just as crucially, she was a natural communicator and senior stakeholder manager.
The role was also filled in 18 days.
Finally, Brittney McConer proved to be the ideal Client Experience hire. She had experience across Market My Market’s core verticals, was accustomed to managing multiple accounts and brought the commercial mindset and ability to innovate that the agency needed during a period of rapid growth.
An offer was made within just 12 days of taking the brief.
Across a 90-day period, Market My Market made three strategically important hires across Operations, SEO and Client Experience.
All three remain with the business today and have successfully passed probation.

Seven Years. 17 Hires. One Future MD.
Reboot is an independent digital marketing agency specialising in Search, Digital PR and Paid Media.
Our relationship with the agency developed over seven years, meaning we were able to support the business as its hiring requirements evolved.
That included finding specialist practitioners across SEO and Paid Media, commercial Growth hires and, eventually, senior leaders capable of taking significant responsibility for the direction and operation of the agency.
As the business grew, the hires became increasingly strategic.
Two searches in particular would ultimately help shape Reboot’s senior leadership team: Director of Growth and Director of Operations.

Putting a Leader Behind Mediavision’s Growth
Mediavision is an established independent digital agency, working with ambitious brands across Search and digital performance.
Having built a successful agency and strong client base over more than a decade, the business was ready to put greater senior ownership around growth.
Until this point, responsibility for winning new business and growing the agency had been shared across the senior team. The next stage required someone who could take proper ownership of it.
This wasn’t simply about hiring a salesperson.
Mediavision wanted someone who could work across the entire agency, bringing together sales, new business, marketing, positioning and brand visibility into a coherent growth strategy.

Finding an SEO Who Speaks Sneaker
The Sole Supplier is one of the UK’s leading footwear and streetwear platforms, helping sneaker fans discover the latest releases, news and trends from some of the biggest brands in the world.
The business has grown significantly, building a highly engaged audience alongside a team with a genuine passion for the space.
That culture was particularly important to them.
This isn’t a business where people simply happen to work in footwear and streetwear. The team genuinely lives and breathes the product outside of work, and preserving that as the company grows is a major priority.
SEO was already an important acquisition channel and The Sole Supplier had an external agency supporting its activity. The next step was to bring somebody senior enough in-house to take proper ownership of the channel.

Taking the Weight Off the Founder
Tacomi is a specialist Search agency with deep expertise across SEO, technical SEO and the evolving AEO landscape.
We had already been working with founder Chad Conlon and the team when they approached us about one of the most important hires they were about to make to date.
The agency was already operating at a very high technical level, but Chad remained heavily involved in the day-to-day. The next stage of growth required someone senior enough to take genuine ownership from him, without compromising the quality of work that had helped Tacomi build its reputation.
